The annual meeting of ICOMOS-ICAHM (International Scientific Committee on Archaeological Heritage Management), held in Oaxaca, Mexico from 9 to 13 November 2026. The conference brings together heritage professionals, archaeologists, and policy specialists from around the world to address current challenges in the management, protection, and public interpretation of archaeological sites and landscapes. A call for papers is open, with sessions organized around themes in heritage management planning, community engagement, and sustainable site stewardship.

ICAHM (International Scientific Committee on Archaeological Heritage Management) is a committee of ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites) concerned with all archaeological sites, landscapes, and related resources around the world. Following the mandate of the World Heritage Convention, ICAHM collaborates with international, national, regional, and local organizations to develop and propagate effective and efficient international cultural resource management standards and practices. Its functions include establishing and promulgating high standards for the management of archaeological sites, supporting a network of professional archaeologists and site managers, organizing conferences and workshops, and providing expert members for evaluations of archaeological sites nominated for the World Heritage List.
