Introduction

According to the star-based alignment theory, ancient Egyptian pyramid builders likely used the alignment of stars in the Big and Little Dippers to orient the pyramids. Around 2467 BCE, the stars Mizar and Kochab were positioned so that they aligned with the north celestial pole.
Although the Great Pyramid of Giza is slightly lopsided, it aligns almost perfectly among the cardinal points.
