Introduction
The Solutrean hypothesis proposes that people associated with the Solutrean culture of western Europe during the Upper Paleolithic contributed to the earliest populations in the Americas by crossing the North Atlantic Ocean.
Would this have been possible, and are the similarities between lithic tools on opposite sides of the Atlantic purely a coincidence?
