Full Bio
Ginger Fedak has spent decades teaching about and advocating for domestic and wild horses. Her work has appeared in AlterNet, Countercurrents, CounterPunch, LA Progressive, and NationofChange. Follow her on Twitter: [https://twitter.com/gfedidausa @gfedidausa]. A lifelong animal advocate and “horse person,” Fedak began her professional career at age 14 mentoring under a natural horsemanship trainer (before the term “natural horsemanship” was coined) and teaching horsemanship and riding lesson classes. She continued with these endeavors and eventually began her own business, Sun Pony Ranch, with two partners. The exceptional horses she trained taught children and adults natural horsemanship and the horse/rider partnership with emphasis on consideration and understanding of, and for, the horse partner. Fedak earned her B.S. in Range Animal Science and Range Management from Sul Ross State University in west Texas. This has helped her in her career, and in understanding of range conditions and issues for both wild equines and livestock in her long-time wild horse and burro advocacy work, which includes teaching natural horsemanship classes. Prior to retiring in 2023, Fedak served for many years as the Wild Horse and Burro Campaign Director for the nonprofit group [https://www.idausa.org/ In Defense of Animals].

Description
Wild horses took center stage at the Bully Pulpit Rally: Fighting for the Spirit of the Badlands that was held July 12-13, 2023, in Medora, North Dakota. Hosted by Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates (CHWHA), the two-day event drew multiple stakeholders who collectively supported saving the wild horse herd in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park (TRNP) and offered their assistance to help the National Park Service (NPS) manage this historic herd.

Description
The 2022 Save Our Wild Horses Conference and assembly, held in Washington, D.C., from April 26-30, 2022, focused on spreading awareness about the issues facing our wild horses & burros, wildlife and wild places. Our goal was to shine a light on these issues and to give those of you attending the tools to become powerful voices. We, the organizers, are a grassroots group of wild horse and wildlife advocates. Key matters relating to the nation's wild horses and burros, and public lands, including steps that need to be taken to protect rangelands, re-wilding, rescues & sanctuaries, and a class on how to become a more effective advocate. Informational tables, photography displays, an art show, and more. https://saveourwildhorses.net/2022-dc-conference.html https://www.einnews.com/pr_news/564945695/the-national-save-our-wild-horses-washington-d-c-conference-and-educational-event-is-april-26-30-2022
