L. Michelle Moore is the CEO of [https://groundswell.org/ Groundswell], a nonprofit that builds community power by connecting solar and energy efficiency with economic development, affordability, and quality of life. A social entrepreneur and former White House official with roots in rural Georgia, Moore is a relentless agent for change. As President Barack Obama’s federal chief sustainability officer, she helped deploy 3.2 gigawatts of renewable energy to the U.S. military. As the senior vice president of the [https://www.usgbc.org/ U.S. Green Building Council], she developed [https://www.usgbc.org/leed LEED] into a globally recognized brand. In 2022, she was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to serve on the [https://www.tva.com/ Tennessee Valley Authority] board of directors.
