Sabudana Khichdi

Ingredients

  • 200g sabudana (sago/tapioca pearls, soaked 4–5 hours until soft)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 green chilies
  • 2 potatoes (boiled, cubed)
  • 3 tbsp peanuts (roasted, coarsely crushed)
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt
  • cilantro

Method

  1. Draining — Drain sabudana; mix with crushed peanuts and sugar.
  2. Heating — Heat oil; splutter cumin; add green chilies.
  3. Adding — Add potatoes; cook 2 min. Add sabudana; toss gently on medium heat 5–7 min until pearls turn translucent.
  4. Adding — Add lemon juice; garnish cilantro.
