Pizza Marinara

🌍 Italian, Naples Difficulty: ●●●○○

Older than the Margherita and made without cheese. Tomato, garlic, oregano, and oil on a blistered crust — that is all. The garlic is sliced thin and placed raw on the dough before baking. The oven's heat softens it in seconds.

Ingredients

  • Pizza dough (as above)
  • Tomato passata
  • Garlic, sliced
  • Dried oregano
  • Olive oil
  • No cheese

Method

  1. Stretching — Stretch dough; top with passata.
  2. Step 2 — Scatter garlic and oregano; drizzle oil.
  3. Baking — Bake at maximum heat.
