Bing Tang Hu Lu (Candied Hawthorn) 冰糖葫芦

Ingredients

  • 20 hawthorn berries (or strawberries)
  • 200g sugar
  • 100ml water

Method

  1. Step 1 — Skewer hawthorns on bamboo sticks (3–5 per stick). Dry thoroughly.
  2. Boiling — Boil sugar and water without stirring until golden (150°C (300°F) hard crack).
  3. Dipping — Dip skewers in sugar; place on oiled surface. Harden 2 min.
