Ingredients

• 325g flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 175g butter
• 200g sugar
• 1 egg
• 2 tsp vanilla
• ½ tsp almond extract

Method

1. Creaming — Cream butter and sugar. Add egg, extracts.
2. Folding — Fold in flour and baking powder. Wrap, chill 1 hour.
3. Rolling — Roll 5mm thick. Cut shapes.
4. Baking — Bake 175°C (350°F) for 8-10 min until edges barely golden.
5. Cooling — Cool before decorating with royal icing.
