Ingredients

• 1 kg waxy potatoes julienned
• 2 large onions thinly sliced
• 1 can Swedish anchovy fillets with liquid
• 300ml cream
• 1 tbsp butter
• breadcrumbs

Method

1. Sautéing — Sauté onions in butter until soft.
2. Layering — Layer in greased dish: potatoes, onion, anchovies with liquid; repeat.
3. Pouring — Pour cream over; top with breadcrumbs; dot with butter.
4. Baking — Bake 200°C (400°F) 45–50 minutes until potatoes are tender and golden.
