Dr Matthew Adeleye will present palaeoecological records from the Bass Strait islands, including sediment and biological proxies. The talk will examine how these data reveal past climate variability in southeast Australia and consider their implications for predicting future climate–ecosystem interactions in a region increasingly affected by droughts and wildfires.
