English: The "Fiesta de los Diablitos" of Boruca is a traditional festivity of the Boruca culture, an indigenous village of Costa Rica, which takes place between December 30 and January 2 of each year. This celebration is characterized by dances and games in which people wear traditional Boruca masks (like the man in the picture), which resemble devils, representing the Boruca Indians, and another person disguised as a bull, representing the Spanish conquistadors.
Español: La "Fiesta de los Diablitos" de Boruca es una festividad tradicional de la cultura boruca, pueblo indígena de Costa Rica, que tiene lugar entre el 30 de diciembre y el 2 de enero de cada año. Esta celebración se caracteriza por bailes y juegos en los que la gente lleva máscaras tradicionales boruca (como el hombre de la foto), que parecen diablos, en representación de los indios boruca, y otra persona disfrazada de toro, en representación de los conquistadores españoles.
Deutsch: Die "Fiesta de los Diablitos" von Boruca ist ein traditionelles Fest der Boruca-Kultur, eines indigenen Dorfes in Costa Rica, das zwischen dem 30. Dezember und dem 2. Januar eines jeden Jahres stattfindet. Dieses Fest ist gekennzeichnet durch Tänze und Spiele, bei denen die Menschen traditionelle Boruca-Masken tragen (wie der Mann auf dem Bild), die Teufeln ähneln und die Boruca-Indianer repräsentieren, und eine andere Person, die als Stier verkleidet ist und die spanischen Eroberer darstellt.
