Geoffrey asks In primis a te quid sit substancia quero? and William replies Res extans per se substancia dicitur esse. Deutsch: Frontispiz einer Handschrift des Dragmaticon von Wilhelm von Conches, Cologny-Genf, Bibliotheca Bodmeriana, Cod. Bodmer 188 (frühes 13. Jh.). Dargestellt sind Platon (oben rechts) im Gespräch mit der personifizierten Philosophie (oben links) sowie Wilhelm von Conches (unten rechts) mit Gottfried Plantagenet (unten links).
