Latest by this author

Eva J. Charalambides is a photographer and vegan advocate. She started out studying radio and television, writing for on-air and screen, and food blogging. Through her transition to veganism, she started writing about animal advocacy and helped produce multi-city vegan events. With the increasing severity of her disability and chronic illnesses, she has also devoted her unapologetic voice to a variety of publications promoting disability rights.

As a professional photographer, she shows that storytelling and advocacy are more than just a matter of words. Her images reflect the same compassion, care, and spark she brings to her writing.

She shares 24 acres of Canadian forest with her husband Matt and the countless wildlife visitors who bless them with their presence.

A New Perspective on Vegan Ethics
Co-author: Emilia Leese | Unbound | January 2022

Think Like a Vegan invites you to set aside your preconceived notions about veganism, and enter into an invigorating conversation about your daily ethical decisions

This book is not just for vegans. It’s for anyone who is curious about veganism, its principles and what even non-vegans can learn from its practice

From basic fairness to politics, economics, love and other aspects of being human, society’s systemic injustices are intimately interconnected, including the fight for racial justice, feminism, and ethical production, as are the threats we face together, from environmental collapse to global pandemics. Seeking a fair world for animals means we must also seek to reject and redress the injustices perpetrated against each other. These are not mutually exclusive goals, or mutually exclusive ideas.
