A two-day international conference co-organized by the Deutsches Archäologisches Institut Istanbul, Middle East Technical University, and the British Institute at Ankara, held in Istanbul on 24–25 November 2026. Under the theme 'From the Field to the Screen,' the meeting addresses how archaeological information is created, organized, preserved, visualized, and published in increasingly digital research environments. The conference welcomes contributions from field archaeologists, heritage specialists, data managers, digital humanists, and software developers exploring the challenges of long-term data preservation and interoperability.

The British Institute at Ankara (BIAA) was founded in 1947 and incorporated in the 1956 cultural agreement between the Republic of Turkey and the United Kingdom. It is one of the eight British International Research Institutes (BIRI) and is internationally renowned for conducting world-class research in Türkiye and the Black Sea region in the humanities and social sciences. Operating with the support of the British Academy and core funding from the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, the BIAA enables scholars across the humanities and social sciences to undertake original research and fieldwork, encourages collaborative research with institutions in Türkiye and the Black Sea region, and maintains a centre of research excellence in Ankara focused on archaeology, history, and contemporary studies.
