How do we protect cultural heritage in a world shaped by climate change and conflict?

This question is at the heart of a new European Horizon partnership, which the Danish Research Council has recently joined. The initiative focuses on resilience in cultural heritage—addressing threats from climate and conflict, but also touching on landscapes, societal challenges, and cultural transformation.

To explore how we can work meaningfully and creatively with these issues the Royal Danish Academy and the University of Copenhagen invite researchers with an interest in cultural heritage to a networking event. The goal is to build or renew connections and share ideas for research and collaboration—possibly within the framework of the Horizon partnership.

At the Institute of Conservation, we educate conservators who help preserve cultural and natural heritage and connect people through the shared history that is essential to our identity.

As part of an artistic and industry-oriented academy, we conduct high-level international research in close collaboration with the industries and professions we train for.
