Gunnar Rundgren is a farmer, author, and longtime leader in the organic agriculture movement. Since the 1970s, he has worked across the organic sector—from farming and certification to policy and international development. He founded KRAV, Sweden’s leading organic certification body, and later served as president of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements from 2000 to 2005.
Rundgren has consulted for organizations such as the World Bank and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, and is the author of several books on food systems and global environmental challenges. He holds honorary doctorates from Uganda Martyrs University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, and is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry.
