- The areas to display are to be set on Project:Main page areas, one are per line.
- The number of articles to show in each area is to be set on Project:Main page areas article count. Must be an integer. Initial value: 3
- Articles belonging to the area are selected randomly.
- Featured authors

- Selected randomly from the list of Authors.
- The number of authors to show is to be set on Project:Main page authors count. Must be an integer. Initial value: 6
- Authors are selected randomly.
- Notifications box

- Notifications are designed to be set manually on Project:Main page notifications. Recommended number of notifications: from 1 to 4 depending on their size. The block height should match the height of the featured article block on the left. See Template:Notifications_box for usage instructions.
