Monique Mikhail is Campaigns Director of Friends of the Earth’s Agriculture & Climate Finance program, where she leads our work to shift investment away from industrial livestock and towards a just, plant-forward, agroecological food system. She has over two decades of food and agriculture experience with multiple organizations (Greenpeace International, Oxfam GB, Stockholm Environment Institute, International Development Enterprises, and Public Citizen) spanning community organizing, global South research, policy advocacy, and developing and executing international campaign strategies. Monique has a B.S. from Purdue University in Agricultural and Biological Engineering, an M.S. in Agriculture, Food, and the Environment from Tufts University’s Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, and a certification in Sustainable Environmental Management from UC-Berkeley.
