Ingredients

• 1½ c. brown sugar
• 1 c. fat
• 2 eggs
• 1 c. chopped raisins
• 1 c. chopped nuts
• ¼ tsp. nutmeg
• 1½ tsp. cinnamon
• ¼ tsp. cloves
• ½ tsp. soda in
• ½ c. hot water
• ¾ tsp. salt
• 3 c. flour

Directions

1.

Mix as butter cake.

2.

Drop in small spoonfuls on greased tin.

3.

Bake in moderate oven.
