Cream Taffy

Ingredients
  • 2½ c. sugar
  • ½ c. glucose
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. glycerine
  • 1 c. water
Directions
  1. Put sugar, glucose, butter and water in kettle.
  2. Boil to very firm ball or 258°F.
  3. Add glycerine, salt, flavor and color as desired.
  4. Pour on well greased slab.
  5. When cool enough to handle, pull until porous.
  6. Cut with shears.
