Occidental Fudge Cake

Ingredients
  • ¼ c. fat
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 sq. bitter chocolate
  • 1¼ c. flour
  • 2½ tsp. baking powder
  • ½ c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions
1.
Cream one-half of the sugar with the fat and one-half with the yolks.
2.
Combine, mix and sift dry ingredients.
3.
Add alternately to first mixture with milk.
4.
Fold in the beaten whites and then add the chocolate.
5.
Bake in a shallow pan 7x11 in. in a moderate oven for forty minutes.
6.
Cover with Reliable Frosting and when cold pour over this melted bitter chocolate.
