Ingredients

• ½ c. fat
• 1½ c. sugar
• 3 eggs
• 1 c. milk
• 2½ c. flour
• 2 tsp. baking powder
• Flavoring
• Nuts, raisins, or cocoanutCoconut is spelled cocoanut in the original text.
• may be added

Directions

1. Mix as butter cake.
2. Bake in layers in moderately hot oven.

Remarks

Use 2 tbsp. less milk and bake as loaf. A very fine-grained cake.
