Ingredients

• 1 c. brown sugar
• 1 c. water
• 1 c. raisins
• ½ c. fat
• 1 tsp. ginger
• 2 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 tsp. soda
• 2 c. flour

Directions

1. Bring sugar and water to boil. Add raisins and cook 5 minutes.
2. Add fat and spice.
3. Cool and add sifted soda and flour.
4. Bake in a moderate oven.

Remarks

More fruit and nuts may be added.
