Nut-Caramel Frosting

Ingredients
  • 1¼ c. brown sugar
  • ¼ c. white sugar
  • ⅓ c. water
  • 2 eggs
Directions
1.
Boil first three to thread.
2.
Pour gradually over the whites of two eggs beaten stiff.
3.
Beat till luke warm.
4.
Set back on stove in a pan of boiling water and boil till it becomes granular around the edge.
5.
Remove and heat till it holds its shape.
6.
Add ⅓ c. walnuts and 1 tsp. vanilla. Pour over cake using back of spoon and try to get a rough surface.
