Likewise in Plato’s ideal city each agricultural family had a town house. (Illustration 9.11 reproduces this round city as described by Brumbaugh[1] 1954, who pointed out its musical proportions. It resembles the round horoscope divided into 12 houses, i.e., the year divided into 12 months and the ancient day divided into 12 hours, as well as the musical octave divided into 12 equal semitones.)
