Gravy for Baked Fish
- Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Utensils
- Small saucepan
- Strainer
- Directions
- Melt the butter in a saucepan.
- Add the flour to the butter, and mix thoroughly.
- Strain the liquid from the pan in which the fish was baked into a measuring-cup, and add enough hot water to fill the cup.
- Add this liquid to the butter-and-flour mixture, stirring constantly over the fire until it thickens and boils.
- Add the Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice.
