Caramel Frosting
- Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ½ teaspoon vanilla

- Directions
- Put the sugar, milk, and butter into a saucepan, set the pan over the fire, and bring slowly to a boil.
- Boil without stirring until the mixture will form into a thread when dropped from the tip of a spoon.
- Take from the fire, add the vanilla, and beat until thick enough to spread on the cake.
