Introduction

Stonehenge stands as England's most iconic prehistoric enigma, a circle of massive sarsen stones and smaller bluestones that has puzzled observers for millennia. While its function as a solar calendar is well-documented, the identity of its builders and the methods they used to transport stones from hundreds of miles away remain subjects of intense debate.
Our research dives into the recent discoveries of nearby "super-henges" and the chemical signatures of the stones' origins. We are picking up the trails of evidence to uncover the social and religious world of the people who raised these monoliths.
